The Beyhive Is Abuzz Over Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s Possible Joint Tour
Are Beyoncé and JAY-Z about to have fans feeling “Déjà Vu”? The Beyhive was buzzing about a new joint tour yesterday after a July 30On the Run 2 date at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field was posted on — then quickly deleted from — Queen Bey’s official Facebook page. And now industry insiders say it’s safe to believe the hype: The Carters will indeed be hitting the road together in the not-so-distant future.
One source told E! that it’s likely to happen before the end of the year, and that the two superstars have also been working on new music together.
The couple’s last joint summer tour, 2014’s On the Run, grossed $109.7 million and came complete with a star-studded faux movie trailer and Grammy-nominated HBO concert special. And this time it will be even more of a family affair, with another source telling People that their daughter Blue Ivy, 6, and 8-month-old twins Sir and Rumi will be along for the ride.
Although Bey’s 2016 smash Lemonade and Jay’s Grammy-nominated 4:44 addressed rumored infidelity and a marriage in crisis, this new adventure would be the celebration of a happy new chapter for the couple, who will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary next month. “For us, we chose to fight for our love, for our family,” the rapper revealed to CNN’s Van Jones in January. “To give our kids a different outcome. To break that cycle for Black men and women.”
