Beyoncé’s New Shoes Might be Worth More Than Your House
When it comes to the world of celebrity purchases, we’re more than used to seeing a splurge or two (or twenty). But every now and again we come across something that reminds us just how much we can’t afford to live like a celebrity (at least not YET). A few years ago it was that $250K black diamond manicure Kelly Osbourne rocked at the 2013 Emmys, then it was Taylor Swift’s $20 million Tribeca penthouse and our most recent reminder of our humble bank account is Beyoncé’s pair of $345K shoes.
The stilettos, which Beyoncés is set to rock in an upcoming music video, are made by the English label House of Borgezie. The heels are naturally part of the brand’s “Princess Collection” and are adorned with 1,300 diamonds that are set into a shoe made of 18 carat gold. The glistening stilettos are the work of British designer Christopher Michael Shellis. Shellis offers not just a lifetime warranty on the hefty purchase, but a 1,000-year guarantee. How Shellis can ensure his company will still be around in 3015, we’re not entirely sure.
Considering these heels are dramatically out of our price range (if they’re not out of yours, please tell us what you do) we’re coming at your with a few ultra-glam heels that pack a Beyoncé-inspired punch without the extravagant price tag.
1. Shooting Star Pointed Heels ($72): If you took one look at those House of Borgezie shoes and immediately though “ouch,” here is an easy way to get all the bling with some added comfort.
2. Betsey Johnson Stella Heel ($130): Skip the rhinestones in favor of some sparkle in the form of glitter with these sweet kicks.
3. Tumbled Gem Heels ($348): Copy the strappy look of Beyonce’s heels with this minimal, super chic style.
