This $1 Billion Wedding Puts All Over-the-Top Celeb Weddings to Shame
Most weddings have beautiful bridal dresses, delicate and delicious cakes and musical performances of all of our fave songs. But most weddings don’t spend a WHOPPING $1 billion to make those “I do” dreams come true. Then again, the average wedding isn’t that of Russian elites Khadija Uzhakhova and Said Gutseriev. It’s honestly hard to decide what’s the most impressive, lavish — and perhaps totally ostentatious — part of this ceremony and reception party. But let’s break it down, and you can decide for yourself.
The 20-year-old bride wore an Elie Saab gown that looks like something made for a princess and surely cost a pretty penny (or, like, a bajillion pennies). Topped with a tiara and flowing veil, she was as strikingly sparkly as she was stunning.
But once the party starts and people get nibbly, it’s all about that cake. And this cake, WOW! Tall enough to tower over guests (and we mean TOWER), the beauty of the baking could only be topped by the full walls of flowers that greeted guests who wandered about during the love-fest… beauty fest… money fest.
And then there were the star-studded performances. Yes, multiple performances, by multiple stars. Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Sting all delivered spirited songs with the bride and other guests jumping on stage to sing along. Not your typical wedding singers, but we bet they had the attendees shakin’ their groove thangs!
At the end of the night, there was a newly, happily married duo, and no matter what the wedding price tag was, that’s what really matters. And that dress!!! ;)
