Celebrate Summer With Bite-Sized Salad Snacks
Salads and I have always had a pretty rough relationship — they look pretty, but I’ve always thought that they taste like dirt. I’ve started to trick myself into eating more vegetables by turning them into chips or replacing taco shells with butter lettuce. My newest endeavor? Bite-sized salads! There’s just something about bite-sized foods that makes eating more exciting and tasty :) Follow along to create the perfect bite-sized salad for your next summer gathering.
BLT Ingredients:
— cherry tomatoes
— lettuce
— bacon
— chipotle ranch dressing
Caprese Ingredients:
— cherry tomatoes
— basil
— balsamic glaze
Instructions:
1. Cut off the top of the tomato, and scoop out the insides.
2. Stuff remaining ingredients into the tomato shell.
3. Drizzle dressing on top of the bite-sized salad.
Slice the top of the tomato off, and then use a small spoon or knife to remove the inside of the tomato.
Stuff the inside with your salad ingredients. Mozzarella, basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze are the three ingredients you’ll need for your bite-sized Caprese salad.
To create the bite-sized BLT, add in strips of lettuce and bacon with a drizzle of chipotle ranch dressing.
These bite-sized salads are the cutest addition to any appetizer platter.
Try testing out your favorite salads in bite-sized form. Ceasar, cobb or taco salad ;)
