Amazon’s Black Friday Is Early This Year With Special Sales and an IRL Store
November is here, which means you’ve probably already heard “All I Want for Christmas Is You” on the radio, and somehow, it’s already time to start thinking about gifts for the holiday season. What better place to score all your holiday gifts at a steal than during Black Friday? Waking up at the crack of dawn the day after Thanksgiving and waiting in line for hours isn’t pleasant for anyone, so Amazon is here to save you from your misery. In fact, you don’t even have to wait until November 27 to enjoy epic sales because the company announced it has opened a Black Friday Deals store, and you can shop sales right now. “Shoppers come to Amazon to discover the best deals on the best gifts,” said Steve Shure, Vice President, Amazon Consumer Marketing, “and this year, we’re pulling out all of the stops.”
Through December 22, Amazon will feature various sales on electronics, magazine subscriptions, toys, clothes and more. Today, Black Friday Deals include engagement rings, electric fireplace heaters and cutlery. And if you’re a Prime member, you’ll have access to more than 30,000 “Lightning Deals” 30 minutes before everyone else. Every second counts when it comes to Black Friday sales, right?
In addition to its online Black Friday Deals store, Amazon today opened its first physical bookstore in Seattle’s University Village called Amazon Books. The store will sell books and also let customers test drive its electronic devices including the Kindle, Echo, Fire Tablet and Fire TV. The store will be open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day (when you can go online for your Black Friday deals, of course).
