Blake Lively Just Ditched Her Blonde Locks for the Hottest Color of the Summer
When it comes to recent celebrity hair updates, it seems like the rich and famous have entirely forgotten about natural colors in favor of rainbow hues. Empire’s Taraji P. Henson just went for a purple ombré, Kesha dipped her head in slime green and Elie Goulding recently debuted a soft pink streak. But when it comes to one of our all time favorite beauty icons, the always stunning Blake Lively, an au naturale look is key. For Lively’s latest hair makeover, she skipped straight over the super saturated colors and when for a soft, subtle shade of bronde.
Blake decided to show off her slightly darker shade not with the usual barber’s chair selfie, but while doing some serious summer adventuring. She captioned her photo, “..Brondes have more fun #NoTypos-IKnowIThinkItsCrazyToo.” The change isn’t super noticeable in the first photo Blake posted, but in her next Insta snap, the change is more obvious. Blake’s blonde, vacation hair has been replaced with a darker toffee hue with caramel highlights. It’s not quite brown, but it’s not blonde either — it’s bronde.
Usually we see stars going lighter in the summer and waiting until fall to go back to a darker color, but we know that Blake likes to keep us on our toes (remember how long we waited for that baby name?!). If you’re digging the color, but want a more straightforward photo to show your stylist, here are three other stars have rocked bronde recently.

2. Jennifer Lopez: Keep the same base color as Cara, but add in some golden highlights for an ultra glam version of the look. (Photo via Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty)
3. Jennifer Aniston: Lean heavily on the blonde side of this brunette-blonde combo by keeping a dark base but incorporating lighter mid tones and highlights. (Photo via Pascal Le Segretain/Getty)
