Blake Lively’s Weekend Activities Involve… Bedazzling?
If you thought bedazzling was a trend that died in the ‘80s, think again: Blake Lively is here to tell you that’s simply not the case. The Shallows actress spent yesterday bedazzling her heart out, as she shared via Instagram, only it wasn’t jackets or Gucci tops she was DIY-ing: It was art.
The mother of two spent some quality “me” time at Ashley Longshore’s studio yesterday, where she rolled up her sleeves and got her hands dirty. Apparently the New Orleans-based artist (who makes genius pop art creations based on real celebs, which go for $5,000 to $50,000 on Instagram) is one of Lively’s favorites — She’s also beloved by the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Salma Hayek, and Penelope Cruz.
“Paint party at my favorite gallery,” Lively wrote, showing off her adorable Alison-Lou (the same designer responsible for her emoji necklace and Paris Jackson’s red carpet bling) “Mrs. R.” ring once more.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum gave us a sneak peek at her seemingly finished floral piece, adding in some bedazzled bits for flair. “Never too old to bedazzle,” she wrote, beaming alongside her creation.
We already knew the 29-year-old was resourceful (check out her genius DIY sock hack from last year), but we had no idea she was such an artiste!
We’re suddenly feeling rather crafty ourselves — good thing Target still has Brit’s DIY Kits in stock (*wink, wink*).
