Blue Wine Is the Surprising Drink You’ll Be Imbibing This Summer
When it comes to wine, you could choose to be a red connoisseur or a white expert, a wine dessert-lover or even a wine tattoo enthusiast. But if you really want to impress your peeps this summer, try serving blue wine. Yes, that’s right. Blue wine.
With a perky pup peeping out from the bottle, the wine called GIK is created using grapes from throughout Spain, as opposed to one region or even a single vineyard. The fruit’s natural color and flavor is improved through “food tech,” which makes the wine “sweeter and easier to drink.” Coming in at around $11 per bottle, it’s not only totally strange, but also totally affordable.
The makers of GIK, who use some pretty WTF images to promote their wonderfully WTF wine, say that the blue offering “represents the innovative side of life, because that’s how we are. We believe in the creative rebellion, we build new things, break with the past and create our future.” Rebellion through wine? Totally on board!
Perfect for so many occasions, it’s just the thing to add a little WTF to your event. Hanging with friends? Serve blue wine. Dinner party? Serve blue wine. Having a summer wedding and want to shake things up a bit? Serve blue wine!
