The time has inevitably come for me to search for the best bookshelves to store all my new summer books — especially after those top notch book recommendations from the cast of Bridgerton. Since I know there's a huge chance you're also in the market for something to hold all your new TBR pile BookTok reads, I'm happily sharing my bookshelves wishlist with you.
I'm still manifesting this gorgeousWest Elm Solid Wood Intersecting Bookcase, but I'll have to buy it after I write my first bestselling novel. Instead, here are some gorgeous bookshelves that are a little more feasible for my fellow renters and homeowners on an under-$500 budget.
Nathan James Boho Rattan & Wood Arched Bookshelf
Coming in at #1 on my wishlist is Nathan James' Boho Rattan & Wood Arched Bookshelf. It's actually one of the first bookshelves that popped up in my search, so I'm taking it as a sign. Ironically, I already have this Nathan James Wood & Metal Freestanding 5-Shelf Bookshelf, but my toddler decided all over the bottom shelf in red crayon — time for an upgrade!
Aside from the fact I want a new bookshelf just for the aesthetic, I'm really interested in something that has a sturdy back panel that'll hold my books in one place. The fact it's rattan and has five sturdy shelves makes me weak in the knees.
All I can think about is how I'll be able to show off my cool books and their jacket covers by genre if I decide to get this bookshelf!
Threshold Elowen 5 Shelf Bookcase
This glam option from Target's Threshold line reminds me of the bookshelf I currently have at home! Take it from me: it'll look gorgeous in your bedroom or small home office. It also features five fixed, open shelves in case you have a ton of and still want the freestanding look!
You can add gorgeous bookends like this and this to really make this bookcase sparkle.
Gracie Oaks Pinaud Bookcase
My son is getting to an age where he's slowly loving the idea of having his own space, and he requested his very own bookshelf. While I still have to convince my S.O., I'm also thinking about buying this because it could so compliment the Boho Rattan & Wood Arched bookshelf I'm currently fangirling over.
I like to think this is kid-friendly because it's scratch-resistant, has the perfect height for my little one, and it supposedly takes less than 30 minutes to assemble. Hello, this busy mom loves the idea of something that's not complicated.
Not looking for a child, but need something shorter? Well then, this works for you too!
All Modern Sigmund Wide Etagere Bookcase
This is one the more expensive bookshelves I'm eyeing, but only because I truly love its sleek design. It's something that I call 'couple-friendly' because I don't see it causing too many decor arguments (IYKYK).
If you're sharing an office with your partner, you can both easily utilize the shelf space on this bookcase because they're longer than most I've come across. Also, a tip-restraint device will be included in the delivery box so you can create a little more sturdiness.
Ashley Furniture Paxberry Eight Cube Organizer
It's summer so it's time to fulfill our coastal chic or cottagecore living dreams with this cube organizer that also doubles as a bookshelf.
This is something I see myself and you placing in our living rooms next to our TV stand. It'll serve as the perfect cute piece that houses all your Bridgertonbooks while you relive your favorite moments from Seasons 1 through 3.
Urban Outfitters Silas Bookshelf
My bookshelves list wouldn't be complete without a green choice that matches by beloved couch in my bedroom. I have to hand it to my S.O. because he does give me free liberty to add color to our space without too many complaints. Still, I already know this bookshelf would be up for debate in my house, but I'm sure it will work for someone!
It has a retro vibe that's perfect for anyone who's living room has mirrors a scene from Studio 54. The edges of the book shelf are rounded so you get a soft feel, but the solid wood ensures it won't easily fall over.
