The New Brat Pack Documentary Reunites Hollywood's Fave ’80s Stars, From Molly Ringwald To Rob Lowe
Chloe Williams serves as B+C’s Entertainment Editor and resident Taylor Swift expert. Whether she’s writing a movie review or interviewing the stars of the latest hit show, Chloe loves exploring why stories inspire us. You can see her work published in BuzzFeed, Coastal Review, and North Beach Sun. When she’s not writing, Chloe’s probably watching a Marvel movie with a cherry coke or texting her sister about the latest celebrity news. As much as I love watching new movies, there's something unmatched about binging classic '80s movies. I can't tell you how many times I've seen The Breakfast Club, Can't Buy Me Love, and Pretty in Pink. But as much as I love the romance and the stories, the cast is my favorite part. Molly Ringwald, Demi Moore, Ally Sheedy, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Emilio Estevez — these are some of the most iconic names of the 20th century, and we're seeing them in a whole new light thanks to BRATS. Here's everything you need to know about the documentary.
What is BRATS about?
BRATS provides an intimate and personal look at the careers of actors like Jon Cryer, Lea Thompson, Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy, and Demi Moore 40 years after New York magazine dubbed them the Brat Pack. It's a title the group has never been able to shake, and this year, they're reclaiming it!
Director Andrew McCarthy, who you'll recognize from Pretty in Pink, Weekend at Bernie's, and St. Elmo's Fire, interviews fans and critics, as well as his past co-stars, to see just how much the Brats' movies have impacted all of us.
