This Product Helps Brides Use the Bathroom While in Wedding Dresses
Anyone who’s worn a wedding dress knows the stress of trying to go to the bathroom with layers of tulle, lace and satin in your way (unless you opt for a short gown). So when we heard about this new invention to solve the potty problem, we thought, “Of course! Why didn’t we think of that?” Enter the Bridal Buddy, which is basically like a slip under your gown that gathers your wedding dress into a “bag” while you use the bathroom. Now your bridesmaids won’t have to put down their cocktails to escort you to the toilet.
Here’s how it works: Put the Bridal Buddy sheer slip on under your wedding gown. When you have to go to the bathroom, pull up the gown and Bridal Buddy in front of you, gather the gown into the Buddy, and pull the elastic cord to bunch the dress into the bag you’ve created. When you’re finished, just release the cord and get back to dancing the night away.
According to the Bridal Buddy website, Heather Stenlake thought of the idea while working as a bridal consultant and frequently being asked by customers, “How do I go to the bathroom in this thing?” Stenlake says the product will be available through retailers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia very soon, but in the meantime you can buy it on the company website.
Bridal Buddy comes in both petite and average/tall and costs $60, but the independent bathroom runs are priceless. Bonus: It comes in an adorable pink bag.
