Brie Larson Has the BEST Advice for Millennials Stressed About Adulting
The traditional frameworks of jobs, finances, and marriages may be in total flux for millennials, but one thing remains the same: Young people will always stress about growing up and figuring it all out. You might find some relief in blaming that quarter-life crisis on Saturn, but the truth is that there’s no easy answer. But Brie Larson, who always has great insight and wisdom, thinks it might be easier than we realize, and recently shared some amazing advice that every single one of us need to keep in mind the next time we’re in an existential nosedive.
“Why do you have to be an adult? That’s the part I’m so confused by,” Larson said. “To me, once I got too serious life became incredibly less fun. I wasn’t enjoying being in my body, or being with friends, or having a good time, or enjoying my journey.”
Ugh, sound familiar? Of course, the time will come when you need to own up to your life, and if you feel like you’re sort of making it up as you go along, fear not: As Larson reminds us, everyone is.
“No one knows anything. That’s the thing I remind myself of. Even Oprah. She knows just as much, she’s just on a journey like everybody else. Everyone’s taking twists and turns along the way. It’s okay. I think if we can just embrace the fact that things are gonna get a little weird, then we’ll be okay.”
Um, it’s time to get those lettering skills on lock and make this into a wall hanging, ’cause we could SO use this reminder on the daily.
