Students’ Job Search Just Got Way Cooler With This Site
Read any one of those “10 things you need to know before freshman year lists” and you’re not likely to stumble across many words of wisdom, except for maybe one: find a job.
A campus job can help you pay tuition, buy all those snacks or simply help you build up a respectable amount of savings for when you finally move out of your parents’ place. But finding a job, especially these days, isn’t that easy. Luckily for the tech generation, there’s now an app for that.
The Campus Job is an online marketplace for students and businesses to meet up and connect during the school year. They match students with available part time job opportunities based on their interests and the needs of those in the area. Students can find everything from freelancing photography jobs, to bartending gigs, to the more traditional tour guide and tutoring jobs.
The site works with over 7,000 schools nationwide, including all the Ivy Leagues and 25 of the top business and engineering schools.
Even Campus Job itself contributes to the pool of jobs available for students by offering a company campus rep position. Other available positions have included gelato scoopers, cleaning staff, graphic designers and more. That’s right, you could even use that degree that you’re working toward to help you pay the bills. Welcome to the real world, y’all.
