This New Caramel Pretzel Frappuccino Features Another Unexpected, Crunchy Topping
Starbucks Caramel Popcorn Pretzel Frappuccino is just as much of a mouthful to say as it is to drink (or eat?) thanks to *actual* pieces of pretzel and caramel corn sprinkled atop of a mound of whipped cream. Because no iced beverage is complete without a delectable drizzle — this baby is finished with a ribbon of caramel sauce. Whew!
The liquid portion of the beverage is made with the traditional coffee and whole milk Frappuccino blend, but it takes a sweet turn with an infusion of proprietary caramel pretzel syrup. Drooling yet? We bet those salty pieces of pretzel and caramel corn pieces taste heavenly when used like chips to scoop up the whipped cream. In not-so-sweet news, this crunchy, salty-sweet latte is only available in the green siren’s Australian locations (crikey!). Last year, it made its debut in the Philippines, so maybe Starbucks will bring it to the States sooner than we think?? Until it makes its way stateside (or we win a free trip to Australia), we’re going to add this one to our bucket list of over-the-top Starbucks drinks to try around the world.
Starbucks has been on drink-launching roll in 2018: From the millennial pink latte to the color-changing cold brew, each innovation is more Instagram-worthy than the last. Just when we thought the drinks couldn’t get any crazier, the coffee chain proved us wrong by dropping its most decadent-looking creation yet. Let’s just say this beverage goes where no other coffee beverage has gone before: solid. snacks.
