Carrie Underwood Learned a Major New Mom Lesson This Weekend
We’ve all heard stories of mothers lifting cars in a fit of “hysterical strength” to save their children — a mother of an adrenaline rush, if you will. New mom Carrie Underwood had a test of fight or flight yesterday when her dachshund mix Penny, rat terrier Ace and (eek!) four-month-old son Isaiah were in her car when the dogs managed to lock the vehicle from the inside. Just reading the tweets she posted to her 4.6 million followers gives us anxiety:
Yes, Carrie Underwood (and her brother-in-law, she explained in another tweet) had to break the window (you read that correctly) to rescue her son and pups. Waiting for a locksmith was just not going to cut it. When you’re put into a situation where your baby and dogs are locked inside a car on a hot summer day and you have to make a quick decision, breaking into your own car becomes the obvious choice.
