How to Make a Chai Tea Cocktail to Cozy Up With All Season
With summer gone and fall in full force, it’s hard not to wonder where the time went! While we once were basking in the sun getting our tan on and sipping on summer cocktails, now it’s time to switch things up and embrace the fallen golden leaves with soft, chunky sweaters on. As the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder, it just feels right to stay inside with your BFFs for some much-needed cocktails.
This season, we are embracing the natural flavors of autumn. Chai tea is a staple for the cooler months, and we figured the strong black tea flavors would make a great cocktail for those lazy hangs at home. Take a sip of this drink, which incorporates a hint of vanilla, almond and cinnamon for a very literal fall buzz.
Ingredients:
— 1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
— 1 ounce Baileys
— 1/2 ounce vanilla almond milk
— 2 ounces chai tea
— sprinkle of cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Heat up water in a pot or tea kettle until it starts to boil. Turn it off and then pour into a cup. For eight ounces of hot water, steep two bags of chai for extra strong tea. Let the tea cool to room temperature.
2. Measure out the vanilla vodka, Baileys, chai tea and vanilla almond milk with a jigger, and pour into a shaker with a little ice. Shake a few times to chill.
3. Pour liquid into glass.
4. Sprinkle cinnamon on top as garnish.
