Chanel Iman Announces She’s Pregnant for Mother’s Day
Chanel Iman is having the best Mother’s Day ever! Though a slew of celebrities took to social media today with heartfelt posts to mark the occasion, the model had the best one of all: She revealed the news that she’ll soon be a mommy herself!
Iman and her new hubby, Sterling Shepard, who tied the knot back in March, are expecting their first child together.
The former Victoria’s Secret angel took to Instagram with a series of posts taken by photographer James Macari that showed off her burgeoning belly. “Daddy and mommy can’t wait to meet you,” Iman wrote on the first black and white snap. “As I approach motherhood I want to wish a happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mommies to be.”
A second picture of the expecting parents in nothing but jeans and Calvin Klein skivvies was not unlike the baby announcement Khloé Kardashian made after months of speculation over baby True.
Iman spoke to the excited she and Shepard now share in the caption, writing, “We both are blessed our love has created a wonderful new life and can’t wait for this ultimate blessing to arrive. We thank God for allowing us the opportunity to become parents and can’t wait to hold our baby in our arms!”
Sterling proposed to his lady love with a swoon-worthy rooftop proposal on the eve of her 27thbirthday. He wished his bride a happy mother’s day, saying, “My baby is making my baby!”
The New York Giants wide receiver also paid tribute to his own mother, writing, “I can’t wait to see you as a grandma.”
