If you’re in search of some Southern charm, look no further than Charleston, South Carolina with its cobblestone streets, honest food, ‘gram and wallet-worthy shops, and warm locals. Among the historic architecture and grand magnolia trees, you’ll find a thriving metropolitan scene that's perfect for exploring. So go ahead and take a leisurely preview scroll to enjoy a taste of Southern hospitality. (Design via Marisa Kumtong)
Second State Coffee: But first, coffee. Head over to Second State, a converted home filled with sunlight and good vibes. Pick up one of their signature lattes (lavender is a popular choice) for a unique and refreshing caffeine kick.
Leon’s Fine Poultry and Oysters: For the best oysters in town, go to Leon's. The former auto body shop boasts exposed rafters and an industrial chic style. If you’re craving something a little heavier, try the other signature dish here: fried chicken. Sidle up on the outdoor seating in the cute patio under hand-strung lights, and pair your meal with a glass of frosé (served in vintage glassware).

Butcher & Bee: This chic spot offers locally sourced seasonal ingredients and affordable prices. Think cold-pressed juices, avocado toast, and unique sandwiches. Pro tip: Leo DiCaprio was spotted lunching here with some buddies last year.

167 Raw: An oyster bar that originated in Nantucket, 167 Raw has seafood in its DNA. There are only a handful of seats, so come early and snag a po' boy or lobster roll.

Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit: If you're looking for a grab-and-go-meal (or snack), head here and pick up a delicious Southern biscuit. All of the buttery, flaky treats are made by hand, and you can up your biscuit with extras like sausage gravy or Carolina honey. Bonus: If you find yourself needing another fix after you've left Charleston, they deliver nationwide.

Candlefish: Pick up a gift for a friend (and yourself) at Candlefish, a colorful boutique where you’ll find locally made prints, cards, jewelry, and bags. Their specialty is candles, as the name implies, and the store features a “Library” of scents accessible by ladder as well as candle-making workshops throughout the week.

Hampden Clothing: Located at 314 King Street, Hampden Clothing is the type of shopping experience that makes you feel like you are officially a part of the best-dressed set. Expect a wide range of pieces from Fashion Week mainstays like Isabel Marant, Lizzie Fortunato, and Tibi.

Middleton Place: The country's oldest landscaped gardens are found at the former mansion of Arthur Middleton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. The 65-acres of grounds were modeled after opulent 18th-century French gardens, with an incredible eye for symmetry and design. Seasonal flowers bloom here year round.

Battery Park: Wander along the waterfront park, named for a Civil War defense artillery battery, and take in a little American history while you admire the picturesque mansions, statues, and amazing views.

Rainbow Row: The best way to explore the charm of the city is either on foot or by bike. Make sure to check out Rainbow Row, a line of 13 pastel colored houses facing the Cooper River. This gorgeous area is one of the most gram-worthy spots.

Bar at Husk: It's hard to snag a table at James Beard, award-winning chef Sean Brock's restaurant. Instead, stop in next door to the more casual Bar at Husk, housed in a two-story brick building, to grab the infamous burger and watch the mixologists whip up a smooth Bourbon cocktail.
