Cherry pie milkshakes made with actual cherry pie!

Liquid Cherry Pie: Gross or Amazing?

Liquid Cherry Pie: Gross or Amazing?

Eating cherry pie is such an effort! It’s SO good, but there’s all that slicing and moving forkfuls up to your mouth (even if that fork is a fancy one — like these quirky utensils), and then there’s the chewing. So much work. But don’t worry, we’re here to take the strain away AND make that cherry pie taste even better in the process. Blended up with ice cream, milk and extra cherries, this may be the best milkshake ever invented! The only possible way to maybe make this milkshake even better is to turn it into a spiked version, like one of these boozy milkshakes. Forget boring old strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. We’re drinking this right up until the end of summer (and maybe a little bit in autumn too, before moving onto these adorable Halloween drinks!).

Ingredients:
Makes 2 milkshakes
— 2 cups cherry ice cream

— 10 ounces (half a can) cherry pie filling — black cherry if you can get it

— a large slice of cherry pie

— 3/4 cup milk

To serve:

— aerosol whipped cream

— 2 Tablespoons crushed graham crackers

— 2 fresh cherries (or more if you prefer)

Instructions:

  1. Place the ice cream, cherry pie filling (reserve two tablespoons of the sauce), cherry pie slice and milk into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into two sundae glasses, then spoon the reserved cherry pie sauce around the rim of the glasses. Top the milkshakes with aerosol cream and sprinkle on the cracker crumbs. Add a cherry and two straws to each milkshake. Serve immediately.

Serve immediately. Possibly with another slice of that cherry pie. It would be a shame to waste it…
