This 5-Ingredient Chocolate Cookie Butter Pie Recipe Will Satisfy Your Biggest Chocolate Craving
The best kinds of recipes are the ones that look a whole lot more complicated to make than they actually are, and this chocolate cookie butter pie fits that description exactly. A chocolate chip cookie crust, filled with cookie butter, caramel, and chocolate — who’d have thought you could make such a spectacular pie with just five ingredients? A few store-bought shortcuts mean this pie can be prepared in no time, and if you can force yourself to share it (I believe in you!), it’s a chocolatey dessert that will knock the socks off your friends.
Ingredients:
- 16 ounces cookie dough
- 7 ounces milk chocolate
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (plus more to serve)
- 3 Tablespoons cookie butter
- 3 Tablespoons caramel
Instructions:
1. Lightly grease a pie tin (one with a loose base is ideal), and press the cookie dough into it. Allow the cookie dough to come up the sides of the tin to provide a crust, and don’t make the base of the crust too thick. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for around 15 minutes, until golden brown. Set aside to cool.
2. Meanwhile, add the milk chocolate and heavy cream to a small saucepan, and cook over a medium-low heat until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is well combined. Set aside to cool for a few minutes.
3. When the cookie dough base has mostly cooled, add a layer of cookie butter.
4. Next add a layer of caramel.
5. Pour the chocolate mixture over the top (it doesn’t matter if it’s still a little warm). Place the completed pie in the fridge until it has completely cooled and the chocolate mixture has set (at least 3 hours). Store in the fridge, and remove 1 hour before serving.

If the cookie dough has risen at all during baking, just use the back of a spoon to press it back down again at the base of the pie — this will give you plenty of room to add your fillings!

And there you have it, one pretty spectacular chocolate cookie butter pie! You’ll have trouble finding anyone who won’t be tempted by a slice of this ooey gooey masterpiece. Just look at that oozing caramel!
And just in case chocolate chip cookie, cookie butter, caramel, and milk chocolate weren’t enough for you, it’s even better served with an extra drizzle of cream on top!
Since this chocolate pie is so simple to make, it’s really easy to customize. Try replacing the cookie butter with peanut butter, or sprinkling a bit of coarse sea salt over the caramel, or perhaps adding some extra balls of raw cookie dough on top — the options are endless! Just remember to save me a slice…
