You Need These Chocolate Funfetti Nachos in Your Life
I can eat nachos for any meal of the day — yes, including breakfast. So when the opportunity came to make a funfetti recipe, I jumped on the chance to combine my love for nachos with my love for colorful, sugary sprinkles. While these nachos are not tortilla chips in cheese, they’re very pretty, chocolatey and they took less than 30 minutes to make. Serve these with frosting dip and it’s an instant party in your mouth.
Ingredients:
— 1 cup butter
— 2 cups white sugar
— 3 eggs
— 3 teaspoons vanilla
— 3 cups all-purpose flour
— 1 teaspoon baking powder
— 10 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
— 1 cup nonpareil sprinkles
Instructions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each egg. Mix in the vanilla.
2. Stir together flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Mix into the butter mixture. Cover dough with plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours.
3. While the dough is chilling, line a 9 x 13 inch brownie tray with foil. Roll pieces of foil into tubes and place them across the tray.
4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
5. Take a lump of dough and roll out onto a floured surface. Roll out to ¼ inch thick. With a knife, cut off the uneven edges of the dough to create a rectangle.
6. Pour sprinkles over the dough and press them firmly in the dough.
7. Cut columns into the dough and then cut triangles into the columns. Take the triangles and place them over the foil tubes in the tray. The triangles should curve over the tubes.
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
9. Once cooled, remove the nachos from the foil. Serve with frosting dip. Enjoy!
