Chris Pratt Tells Body-Shamers What’s What and You’ll Love His Funny Fierceness
We’ve swooned before over Chris Pratt’s ability to be both hilarious and adorably touching at the exact same time, but now, as the actor faces some pretty nasty body-shaming (yep, even someone fit enough to take on wrestling Anna Faris can be body-shamed), he’s responded with his signature mix of seriousness and cheekiness.
With his finely fit form, it might surprise you to find out that Chris Pratt has been facing some pretty unkind comments lately about his appearance. Currently filming Jurassic World 2, Pratt has been on a fairly strict meal plan in order to keep himself in tip-top shape. It takes a lotta energy to outrun dinos, yo! But some folks think that Chris Pratt is too thin at the moment, and (unfortunately) feel the need to express this via social media.
And Chris? He won’t have it.

Sharing a pic of, er, himself on Instagram, Pratt decided to address the sitch head on. “So many people have said I look too thin in my recent episodes of #WHATSMYSNACK,” he began, referring to his recent tendency to take a vid of himself “enjoying” a less than thrilling nosh.
While most of his fans have been loving the behind-the-scenes peeks, Pratts adds, “Some have gone as far as to say I look ‘skeletal.’ Well, just because I am a male doesn’t mean I’m impervious to your whispers. Body shaming hurts.” Truth.
Though, natch, he added a cheeky twist on the sitch with, “So to prove my security in the way I look I’m posting a current selfie of me at what I consider a very healthy weight. 500lbs. Zero percent body fat. Totally JK guys. This is a T Rex skull. Nailed you so bad. Omg.”
Well played, sir.
