Chrissy Teigen Applies Brow Powder to Her Hair for a Genius Reason

As a model, Chrissy Teigen has picked up a few epic beauty hacks over the years. But the Becca Cosmetics collaborator just shared the one bizarre makeup tip even her glam team had never heard of.

Teigen, 31, revealed the one unexpected way she feels “put together” even on days when she’s racing out the door, with no time for a full glam look. Since brows have been a big trend the past several years, the Lip Sync Battle host keeps some eyebrow products in her arsenal, but it’s the way she uses the powder that shocked even her colorist.

When trying to get out the door in a hurry, Teigen told Refinery29 that she focuses on “an eyebrow, eyelash, and a lip,” before filling in her hairline with her trusty brow powder. “I have very light baby hairs, so I look put together if I do those things,” the mom to Luna, one, with husband John Legend says. “Yes, you must fill in your hairline with your brow powder, it’s crucial. I do it every day.”

Teigen’s longtime colorist Tracey Cunningham had never even heard of the hack, but tells Refinery29, “It’s new to me and I’ve heard everything. I love my Chrissy. She’s so innovative and up for anything, I can see her doing this and pulling it off flawlessly!”

Cunningham recommends using a brow powder one shade lighter than your hair with a tiny brush. “Apply it in the part and temples, and blend it through,” she says. An added bonus? It could also help to absorb oils, acting as a sort of dry shampoo. Win-win!
