See the Pretty DIY Cake Chrissy Teigen Made to Prep for Luna’s First Birthday
My, how time flies! Though it seems like just yesterday, Chrissy Teigen actually gave birth to baby Luna almost one year ago, as the little girl (who’s already talking) will be turning one on April 14. Needless to say, the cookbook author has some big plans for the momentous occasion, and they involve (what else!?) THE perfect DIY cake.
Though the big bash may still be a couple of weeks away, Teigen isn’t taking any chances: She’s already started prepping to ensure that her little girl’s cake will be absolutely perfect. Turning to Duff’s Cakemix, “the first DIY Dessert Studio where the customer is the artist,” in West Hollywood for help, Teigen spent her Saturday training for the big event.
Sharing a snap of herself and her newly formed creation, which looks beyond amazing with its two colorful layers of gold, glittery circles, confetti sprinkles, and sugar pearls, the 31-year-old wrote: “Thank you @duffscakemix for teaching me to decorate a cake for Luna’s upcoming bday! I’ll be back to do the real one soon! Get the sprinkles ready.” (Uh, can we be taste testers?)
Just a practice cake! No beads for the real one, don't freak out, fellow moms! https://t.co/ZD6QzpVBpi

No stranger to receiving unsolicited parenting advice online, Teigen was quick to follow up her Insta post with a Tweet to prevent any worry the beads on the practice cake may cause, stating she’s well aware of the chocking hazard that comes with pearls. “Just a practice cake!” she wrote. “No beads for the real one, don’t freak out, fellow moms!”
Now, if only we knew how to score an invite to Luna’s bash…
