Chrissy Teigen’s Grammys Hairstyle Broke a Major Beauty Rule
While Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill were busy twinning on the Grammys 2017 red carpet, Chrissy Teigen *almost* snuck by with a major hair makeover. The Sports Illustrated Swim model is just the latest celeb to chop her looks into an edgy lob. But we’re loving the wet, wavy look of her red carpet beauty, and Chrissy’s hairstylist Jen Atkin (she recently styled Kendall Jenner, too!) is sharing all of the deets, including one very surprising key product.
Let’s back things up, though, to how Jen created Teigen’s “sexy yet effortless wet-looking waves.” On damp hair, she spritzed her own OUAI Wave Spray ($26) from the roots to the ends. Then, she made a deep side part and blow-dried Chrissy’s hair with the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer ($399).
Next, she used the Kardashian Beauty Flat Iron ($90) to straighten the ends of Chrissy’s hair. But, here’s the interesting tip: To keep the “wet look,” Jen added Christophe Robin Prickly Pear Regenerating Mask ($71) to one-inch sections of hair, starting mid-shaft through the ends. She finished with TRESemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Hair Spray ($6) and Rita Hazan Root Concealer ($25) to fill in the hairline.
Yep, that means that Chrissy hit the red carpet with an at-home hair mask still in her locks. And wasn’t the effect incredible?!
