Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Celebrated Their Anniversary by Trolling Each Other on Instagram
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are no strangers to trolling each other — remember when the Cravings author poked fun at her hubby with nonstop Arthur memes, or when she roasted him for attending the BBMAs?! — so it’s no real surprise that the pair would choose to celebrate their wedding anniversary by… making fun of one another on Instagram.
The couple, who have been together for 12 years and tied the knot back in 2013, commemorated their fifth anniversary on Friday, September 14, with a couple of #TBT snaps of their romance. And while the accompanying captions were sweet, they were also very funny.
Teigen kicked things off with a snap of the couple’s dreamy wedding in Lake Como, Italy, writing, “12 years ago today, I met the man of my dreams. And five years ago today, we got married. We have two babies and some pups and a life I am grateful to have. My everything, I love you and am so proud of the story we’ve created.” She then quipped, “But you are an a**hole for releasing your @nbcthevoicenews on my Target launch day for real.”
Soon after, the recently crowned EGOT winner responded by posting two snaps of his own and showing plenty of love and support… for his wife’s Target line. “What can I say on a day like today? I could talk about the 12 beautiful years I’ve known you. I could talk about the five years of wedded bliss, the two wonderful children we’ve brought into this world. But I feel the urge to say something far more important. I LOVE your new kitchenware line at @Target,” the 39-year-old crooner joked.
And he didn’t stop there. “I can’t wait for it to come out on September 30th. I’m so proud of everything you’ve done in your career and how much joy you bring to people’s lives,” he gushed. “Did I mention that your Cravings Cookbook is coming out Tuesday? Because it’s coming out Tuesday. I love you, baby.”
Happy anniversary, you two!
