Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Are Getting Their Own Christmas TV Special
The holidays just got a little bit better! NBC announced on October 26 that everyone’s favorite celebrity couple, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, will star in their very own Christmas special for the holidays.
A Legendary Christmas With John and Chrissy will air on Wednesday, November 28, at 10pm ET. The main focus of the hour-long special will be Legend performing songs from his new album, A Legendary Christmas, which is available now.
Noted Christmas lover Teigen will no doubt bring her wit and charm (and trolling of her husband) to the stage, too. The couple will also be joined by friends, family, and surprise “well-known entertainer” guests, who will be revealed closer to the special’s date. Some of the guests on Legend’s new Christmas album include Stevie Wonder and Esperanza Spalding, though they have not been named as guests on the TV special.
“What John has accomplished over his career is simply remarkable and we’re thrilled to have both he and Chrissy host our holiday special,” NBC executive Doug Vaughan said. “It will be a truly memorable telecast filled with wonderful performances that will have something for everyone.”
Legend is no stranger to the NBC stage. In September, he completed an historic EGOT win with an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special for his work on Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert, and recently, it was announced that he would be joining season 16 of The Voice as a mentor alongside Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake Shelton.
