This Beyoncé + Taylor Swift-Favorite Fashion Co Featured 2 Plus-Size Models at NYFW
What do Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift all have in common? Aside from being absolute superstars, they’ve all sported this one fashion brand onstage and in their videos. Chromat. If you haven’t heard of Chromat yet, take notes, because this high tech, A-list clothing brand is making major waves in the fashion world after this season’s NYFW. According to Mashable, the clothing brand has recently paired up with Intel to create some seriously sci-fi clothing, like this one sports bra that reads your body temp and will open and close vents to release heat. Sooo cool. But the brand isn’t just futuristic, they’re also forward-thinking and body positive. The label enlisted the help of two gorgeous plus-size models to showcase their Spring 2016 RTW collection last Friday night.
Plus-size model Denise Bidot (who also did that un-retouched swimsuit campaign) on the left was seen rocking Chromat’s electric blue Optimal Pencil Skirt and Bustier while slaying with some cerulean eyebrows. Sabina Karlsson sported the Grand Prix jacket, a black and white body suit and the same signature blue eyebrows. All the while, they were breaking barriers, starting convos and looking absolutely killer. YAAAAAS, girls.
And this isn’t the first time the inclusive brand has feature plus-size models. Denise has walked for Chromat before in Spring 2015 and starred in their campaign even then. They also had a number of plus-size models strutting the runway at their Autum/Winter 2015 show earlier this year. We can’t wait to see what this body positive brand has planned next.
