These Colorful Lamps Are Actually Designed to Make You Happier
There’s a reason why our brains are so drawn to color. Besides keeping our wardrobes bright and adding good vibes to any space, certain hues can actually make you happier. The practice of chromotherapy, AKA color therapy, has actually been around for centuries. And world-renowned Preciosa Lighting‘s new collection of table lamps uses this method to elevate your mood *and* your space.
So how exactly does it work? The Chromo table lamp, designed in collaboration with Spanish design studio MUT, uses the basic colors of red, blue, and green light to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that improve your mood and well-being. The three shades affect a different energy center, AKA chakra, offering feel-good results ranging from calming effects to a cheerier mood.
Each sculptural table lamp is comprised of a large colored glass piece and a set of curved glass pipes wrapped around a central metal U. A neon tube is hidden at the center in coordination with LED lights at the base of the glass pipes, creating a gorgeous rainbow-shaped glow. The best part? The glass pieces are modular and can be mixed and matched with other colors to have a more multi-dimensional/multi-mood look and feel.
Three versions of the Chromo table lamp (blue, red, and green) are currently available for pre-order through the Wallpaper* Store starting at $2,616.
