Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy Welcomed Baby #2!
Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy have welcomed baby number two into the world! According to The Hollywood Reporter, a publicist for the actors told the Associated Press on Friday, August 31, that the Homeland star gave birth to a son on Monday, August 27, in New York.
This is the second child for Danes and Dancy, who married in 2009 and are already the parents of a five-year-old son, Cyrus Michael Christopher.
The actress revealed back in April that she was expecting her second child, telling Howard Stern on his Sirius XM show, “Okay, so I’m gonna tell you, I’m pregnant. I’m seriously preggo. I’m deep into my second trimester. You’re the first person I’ve told.”
Later that same day, she told Jimmy Fallon about the downside of working while pregnant. “I was filming during the first trimester, which is kind of my least favorite phase because you just feel horrible,” she admitted. “You feel just rotten and you’re not allowed to say why.”
Fortunately, by her second trimester, she was “feeling good” — and so was her baby-to-be. “It gets a little excited when I have a chocolate bar. It’s moving and kicking,” she told Fallon. “I love that part. It’s like a firework show. And a little creepy. It’s like an alien being in there! I’m cohabiting!”
