Claire Danes Wore a Glow-in-the-Dark Gown to the Met Gala and It Was Magical
We’ve seen the best dressed at the Met Gala and the most WTF looks the red carpet had to offer — but Claire Danes’s Zac Posen design deserves its own category entirely.
Get this: Not only did the Cinderella-like fairytale dream gown make her look like a real-life Disney princess in the daylight, winning the red carpet with its design alone, it also glowed in the freaking dark.

Calling his creation “starry night,” Zac shared these amazing videos of the frock, which is lined with fiber optics throughout to highlight its soft features, in action. The results, as you can clearly see from the accompanying videos, are pretty much pure magic.
“I won’t be doing tequila shots in this dress, let’s just say that,” Claire can be heard stating. Girl, we don’t blame you — this is perfection!
Seriously, we’re stunned. And left with so many burning questions! Like did she, in fact, wear glass slippers? Was she forced to leave at the stroke of midnight? DID HER STAGECOACH TURN INTO A PUMPKIN? We can’t even take it, but one thing’s for sure — Zac Posen is a modern day fairy godfather.
