Fall means it’s time for football… and football means it’s time for tailgating… and tailgating means it’s time for yummy food and drinks. The two fall activities go hand-in-hand, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Tart Start: a refreshing grapefruit shandy
Ingredients:
(Makes 1)
– 3 oz grapefruit soda
– 4 oz wheat beer
– sliced grapefruit
Instructions:
Pour grapefruit soda into a glass and add wheat beer. You can adjust the ratio of soda and beer depending on how sweet you want it. Top it off with sliced grapefruit and get ready for a refreshing sipper.
Blood Pumper: A Spicy Bloody Mary
Ingredients:
(Makes 1)
– 2 oz vodka
– 4 oz tomato juice
– 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
– 3 dashes Tabasco sauce
– ground pepper
Instructions:
Measure and stir in all ingredients. Then serve with your choice of garnish — we recommend celery and olives.
TD’rita: A Refreshing Lagerita
Ingredients:
(Makes 1)
– 1/2 oz lime juice
– 2 drops Tabasco sauce
– 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
– 1 pinch black pepper
– 1 pinch celery salt
– 1 bottle Mexican lager beer
– 1 lime wedge
Instructions:
Rub the lime wedge along the glass and dip into a mix of equal parts salt and cayenne pepper for the rim. Add lime juice, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper and celery salt to the glass. Top with the beer and garnish with the lime wedge.
