How to Throw a Crazy Colorful Pool Party EVERYONE Will Be Instagramming
Pool parties have never stopped being awesome. Ever since we were little kids, the joy that comes with spending an entire day in water is one of our favorite things. The moment you step outside and realize that summer is here is likely the moment you start thinking, hmmm, when is that pool party? ;) We’ve teamed up with IZZE® to show you how to throw a crazy colorful citrus-themed pool party.
If, like us, you live in a city and don’t have casual access to a pool, rent a vacation home nearby and get ready to splash the day away. For today’s party, we’ve embraced our citrus obsession. Citrus flavors, patterns and shapes all play a starring role in our scene. Follow along to see how to put together your own explosion-of-color pool party!
KEEP PLENTY OF CHILLED BEVERAGES ON HAND
First things first, you’ve gotta keep cool, and a cooler full of ice cold sippers is crucial. On our drink list this summer? IZZE® everything. We’ve got IZZE® Sparkling Clementine, IZZE® Sparkling Pomegranate, IZZE® Sparkling Grapefruit, IZZE® Sparkling Water Blackberry Pear and about a dozen more yummy flavors.
Did your jaw just drop? Yeah, we thought so. Icy fruit surrounds your favorite drinks and melts away to reveal a tasty fruit plate! ;) Follow the steps below to see how it’s done.
DIY THE PRETTIEST ICE BUCKET YOU’VE EVER SEEN

1. Place the Mason jars in the middle of the pan.2. Arrange the fruit around the jars.
3. Pour water into the pan.
4. Add rocks in the Mason jars to keep them standing firmly on the pan.
5. Freeze overnight, or until solid ice is formed.
6. Pour warm water into the Mason jars and wiggle them out. Pour warm water over the exterior of the pan to remove the ice. Place your drinks inside holes and serve.

CREATE COLORFUL LOUNGE ZONES AROUND THE POOL
When you’re not in the pool itself, you best be lounging! We created a few different areas around the pool for guests to socialize and catch some sun. Folding chairs, blankets and poufs are all a must. And make sure all those textiles are colorful as the dickens.
Fruity cuties, comin’ right up!
MAKE YOUR OWN FRUITY DRINK HOLDERS

1. Cut out triangles in one of the sticky back foam sheets. Arrange into a “slice” on another piece of sticky back foam. Take the paper back off the triangles and stick on the foam. Cut a circle around the slice. Stick that circle on another piece of sticky back foam and cut a circle around that.2. Make two more slices so that there are three slices in total.
3. Wrap the non-sticky craft foam around the drink bottle and glue the ends together.
4. Stick the slices around the foam. For extra security, glue down some of the slice pieces with a hot glue gun.

These take minutes to make. This DIY would also make a great pool party activity for when people arrive. Just make sure to keep that hot glue gun in the shade.
Cheers!
Time to throw it back. First, we’ll throw it back all the way to summer camp in the ‘90s when you *lived* for perler beads. Then, we’ll throw it back to a few weeks ago when we shared our latest and greatest twist on perler beads: fruit slice coasters! These beauties will add a nice pop of color to your party decor all year round.
BUST OUT YOUR PERLER BEAD FRUIT SLICE COASTERS
We tend to have lots of these two things on hand no matter what type of scene we’re putting together: paper honeycombs and faux palm leaves. Put the two together and, voila, a very magical centerpiece is born.

Whether you use this is a serving platter, tray or centerpiece, this giant citrus slice is a party-perfect decor accent.
CITRUS SERVING TRAY FTW

1. Mix the pink and orange paints together and paint around the edge of the circle.2. Mix the pink and the white paints together. While the orange/pink paint is still wet, paint the pink/white paint under the orange/pink. Blend the two colors together so there is a slight ombre effect.
3. Paint the middle of the circle white.
4. Lightly brush out slices on the circle.
5. Use pink paint on the rounded parts of the slices and orange on the pointy parts of the slices. Blend the two colors together to create another ombre effect.
6. Use white paint to make any touch-ups.
7. Let dry and place your drinks on the platter to serve.
