Johanna Basford’s New Coloring Book Calendar Is the Perfect Way to Start 2016
When it comes to coloring books, uber talented illustrator Johanna Basford is kind of the queen of the industry. The Scotland-based artist sparked the movement (that’s right, we’re calling it a movement) back in 2013 with her book Secret Garden, and has since released the gorgeous followup Enchanted Forest and most recently Lost Ocean. If you’ve already transformed all of Johanna’s black-and-white pages into colorful works of art, she has a new project that will take you an entire year to complete. Introducing the Secret Garden Coloring Book Calendar.
Johanna announced the new product just a few hours ago on her Instagram. The 12-month calendar appears to include some of the best illustrations from her first best-selling book. If one of your 2016 resolutions is to DIY on the daily, coloring in a little bit every day of the month could be a totally doable way to stay constantly creative.
The calendar, which is currently available on Amazon, comes in at just $10, making it kind of the perfect present for everyone on your Christmas list. But if Johanna’s other coloring books are any indication of how quickly they can sell out, we’re going to go ahead and say you should snag your copies ASAP.
