Corinne Olympios Has Broken Her Silence on the “Bachelor in Paradise” Investigation
From the moment Bachelor in Paradise halted production over allegations of “misconduct,” the two contestants involved in the alleged incident, Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson, have been thrust into the spotlight. After both camps issued initial statements, Jackson shared further details about the night in question in a three-part interview with E! News. Not only was he candid about the events that occurred, but he shared how the public’s reaction had personally affected his family and defended Olympios against the slut-shaming she faced amid all the drama. Now, Olympios is having her say with a statement of her own.
Though Bachelor in Paradise resumed filming after concluding its own investigation, Olympios’ legal team said they would be delving further into the matter. The lawyers have concluded their investigation, and the 24-year-old is speaking out regarding their findings.
In her official statement to E! News, Olympios says that her team’s investigation has concluded to her “satisfaction.” While the reality alum is grateful that the production team has made changes to the way the show plays out, including a two-per-hour drink maximum, she says that she will not be returning to the production.
On the topic of Jackson, Olympios wants to be clear about her feelings. “In light of the overwhelming amount of misinformation that has been spread in the media, I want to clarify a few things,” she said. “My intent over the past few weeks has been to learn and understand what happened on June 4. While I never filed complaints or accusations against anyone associated with Bachelor in Paradise, my team and I felt it was very important to be thorough in getting to the bottom of what had occurred. I felt victimized by the fact that others were judging me through conflicting and unsubstantiated reports, while I myself had no recollection of the events that transpired.”
While Team Corn will certainly miss her presence in season four, we’re happy that the event has concluded in a satisfactory manner for all involved.
