This Couple Got Married at Costco
When it comes to choosing a wedding venue, there are a ton of factors to take into account. Indoors or outdoors? Local or destination? Will it be able to accommodate everyone invited? Traditional or nontraditional? Is it a place that contributes to your story as a couple? For California-based couple Meredith and Robert Bonilla, the frozen section of their neighborhood Costco in Bakersfield was the perfect place for exchanging their vows, since it’s where they first met a year ago. Consider it love at first food sample bite. ;)
Just like any wedding venue, the Bonillas had to lock down the locale for their after-hours nuptials in the big-box store. We knew Costco offered rings, food, flowers, invitations, photobooks and home goods for the registry, but actually saying “I do” among the stocked shelves is a creative spin. Meredith walked down the poinsettia-lined aisle with her daughter to meet Robert at the altar made of wooden pallets.
After they put their rings on it, Meredith and Robert did what any newlyweds at Costco would do: Lounge on their comfy display leather furniture, natch.
We’re sending well wishes to this bride and groom in bulk.
