Crayola Revealed Which of Its Classic Colors Is Getting the Axe
Change isn’t always easy to accept, especially when you have to say goodbye to something that you love. That’s why we were crushed to hear that Crayola is getting rid of one of the classic colors in their beloved 24-crayon box. Would it be blue violet? What about magenta? They couldn’t possibly be ditching cerulean… could they?! Well, it’s a day early, but Crayola has just let us in on which of its classic colors is getting the axe and it’s…
Dandelion. Poor, Dandelion.
But don’t worry. The little fella still has an, er, bright future ahead of him as he heads into an adventure-filled retirement. Seriously, never has a crayon’s days looked so, um, colorful.
Our beloved Dandelion decided to announce his retirement early! There’s no taming an adventurous spirit! #NationalCrayonDay pic.twitter.com/RMk6pw3jR2

While we’re sad to have to say goodbye to this bright, sun-shiny color, its space won’t remain empty for long, as Crayola has promised to introduce a brand new shade tomorrow, #NationalCrayonDay, during a event in Times Square that anyone across the country can watch live on Facebook. We can’t wait to hear the big news! *grabs fave coloring books in anticipation*
