6 Creative Ways to Personalize Your Iced Coffee
When it comes to coffee, it should be no surprise that we like to keep things creative around here. From adding sprinkles (oh yes) to mixing in rosewater and cardamom, we’ve tried it all! To keep things extra cool this summer, we’ve teamed up with Starbucks to show you how to customize the new Starbucks® Iced Coffee – Brewed to Personalize flavors (now available at your local grocery store) into six totally different beverages.
Each of these recipes can be adjusted to your personal flavor palette — we hope they inspire you to try your own creative takes on your morning cup of joe!
For a healthy and refreshing twist on your iced coffee, just muddle with a few sprigs of mint.
The Health Nut
Ingredients:
– Starbucks® Unsweetened Iced Coffee Beverage
– 1-2 mint sprigs
Place a mint sprig or two in the bottom of a glass. Muddle mint with a muddler, add ice, and fill with Starbucks® Unsweetened Iced Coffee Beverage.
The Traditionalist
For those who prefer a more traditional take on their coffee, we recommend a vanilla simple syrup.
Ingredients:
– Starbucks® Unsweetened Iced Coffee Beverage
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 cup water
– 1 vanilla bean
Split vanilla bean down the middle with a knife and place in a jar. Set aside. Meanwhile, mix together sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over the vanilla bean and let cool. Cover jar and let sit for 12 hours. Fill a glass with ice and Starbucks® Unsweetened Iced Coffee Beverage. Add vanilla syrup one spoonful at a time until reaching desired sweetness.
The Romantic
For a sultry iced coffee break, mix together rosewater and a cardamom-infused creamer to add the right amount of saucy to your iced coffee.
Ingredients:
– Starbucks® Lightly Sweetened for flavor Iced Coffee Beverage
– 1 cup half and half
– 1 tablespoon rosewater
– 1 teaspoon cardamom
Mix together half and half and cardamom. Add the rosewater and a dash of the creamer to a glass filled with ice and Starbucks® Lightly Sweetened for flavor Iced Coffee Beverage.
The Sweetie Pie
Make your iced coffee break even sweeter by adding candy garnishes to your iced coffee.
Ingredients:
– Starbucks® Caramel Iced Coffee Beverage
– 2 scoops ice cream (any flavor)
– 1/4 cup soda water
– For garnish: assorted sugar candies, toothpicks, white sprinkles, white candy melts
Add a scoop of ice cream to a glass. Cover with Starbucks® Caramel Iced Coffee Beverage, add another scoop of ice cream and then add a dash of soda water for some fizz.
The Cool Cat
I mean, what’s cooler than being cool? Using cinnamon-spiced coffee ice cubes to keep your iced coffee cold and concentrated. It’s an amazing way to kick up a cup of Starbucks® Caramel Iced Coffee Beverage.
Ingredients:
– Starbucks® Caramel Iced Coffee Beverage
– dash of ground cinnamon
Pour Starbucks® Caramel Iced Coffee Beverage into an ice cube tray. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and place in the freezer overnight. Pop the coffee ice cubes into a glass and cover with Starbucks® Caramel Iced Coffee Beverage.
Add a dash of creamer and cinnamon and you’re done!
Let your inner wild child show by adding some flair to your iced coffee.
The Wild Child
Ingredients:
– Starbucks® Unsweetened Iced Coffee Beverage
– dollop of whipped cream
– sprinkles
Fill a glass with ice and cover with Starbucks® Unsweetened Ice Coffee Beverage. Top coffee with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with bright sprinkles.
