Cult Beauty Brand Glossier Just Dropped a Super-French Skincare Line
It’s been a big year for Glossier. The NYC-based brainchild of Into the Glossblog maven Emily Weiss, the back-to-basics beauty brand promises makeup that makes your skin look like, well, skin — and skincare that makes your skin look like it doesn’t need makeup at all.
The three serums, called “The Supers” introduce a new post-cleansing, pre-moisturizer skincare step that might be new to those of you not already subscribed to K-Beauty routines or French-inspired tonics pour le peau. Each serum has a water base combined with a vitamin combo helpfully pulled from an Into the Gloss crowdsource (how smart to have a built-in test market for your brand, Emily Weiss!). They’re each packaged in an attractive frosted dropper bottle, and marketed to meet the needs of different skin woes.
Super Bounce, with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5, is touted as “Gatorade for your face.” Super Pure, with Niacinamide and Zinc, is designed for “irritated, stressed, or blemish-prone skin;” Super Glow, with vitamin C and magnesium is for dull and sallow hangover skin. Brit + Co’s NYC editorial team has been testing the supers since last week and while we’re not sure we can report any noticeable difference in our complexions, it does feel ultra grown-up to add this extra layer of pampering to our morning routine.
