This App Lets You Customize Your Ray-Ban Sunglasses Online
Wayfarers just got way, WAY cooler thanks to a new online feature that lets you completely customize your Ray-Bans. Launched just as the hunt begins for the perfect summer sunnies, Ray-Ban Remix gives you complete control over the color, frame and lenses of the ultra hip eyewear — a serious step up from the Colorize Kit, you guys.
If you’ve ever customized a pair of sneakers online, you’ll be familiar with this digital DIY process. Once you’ve chosen the model you want to customize — there are seven styles available, including the iconic Aviator and the super stylish Justin — you’re ready to add your very own trendy touches.
Color the front of the frames and the temples in with your fave available hue in a matte or glossy finish (or color block them just because you can), and choose from a wide range of lenses to round out your dream design. Hipsters, now’s your time to go crazy with the fluorescent frame/mirror lens combo on a New Wayfarer — just note, the more extreme you go, the pricier your ‘Bans get. Classy combinations stand out just as much: A tortoise shell frame and green rubber tips on the ladylike Erika frame is an especially swoon-worthy mix.
You can even add personalized engraving to the temple tips of your sleek new shades. Ray-Ban allows a generous 10 characters per side — why waste the space with a simple monogram when you can spell out your twitter handle?
