The CW Just Renewed 10 of Your Favorite Shows
While some TV shows, such as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or NBC’s Will & Grace reboot, are confirmed for multiple seasons before they ever even air, most of the time, we’re left waiting to hear about a renewal or — in the worst cases — a cancellation of our favorite TV shows. Today, viewers of some of the CW’s most popular series got the good news they were waiting for when the network announced that 10 of its titles would be back for another season.
The veteran of the bunch is the long-running fantasy thriller Supernatural, which just got picked up for a 14th (!) season, making it the longest-running show on the CW (and its predecessor, the WB).
All five of the CW’s superhero shows will get another season, too. Arrow will be back for season 7, The Flash will return for season 5, both Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will get fourth seasons, and Black Lightning will be back for season 2.
All of those shows have producer Greg Berlanti in common. Berlanti is also behind the Archie Comics hit Riverdale, which was renewed for season 3.
Other returning favorites include the Dynasty reboot, which will be back for a second season, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which was renewed for season 4.
Jane the Virgin fans have something to celebrate, too: That show will return for its fifth season, which star Gina Rodriguez recently hinted might be its last.
Still to be determined are the fates of the new Lucy Hale-starring Life Sentence, iZombie, The 100, and Valor.
