Why Dairy Queen Is About to Be Your New Starbucks
Attention all you Starbucks addicts, it looks like you might want to ditch the line at your closest coffee shop in favor of a trip to Dairy Queen. The fast food chain just announced they’re now serving up a variety of new coffee beverages.
They’ve added iced coffee and blended drinks (made with coffee and DQ’s iconic soft-serve) to their menu. If you’re thinking they won’t have all the crazy cool flavors you’re able to find at Starbucks, guess again. Frappes are currently available in Oreo, caramel chip, and mocha. Additionally, you can get an iced coffee in vanilla, salted caramel or mocha.

To get customers acquainted with their new offerings Dairy Queen is offering $2 frappes from 2PM to 5PM on weekdays. The promotion is definitely meant to compete with Starbucks’ “Frappuccino Happy Hour.” However, Starbucks’ is only from 3PM to 5PM so if you’re really ready for a coffee treat at 2PM, it looks like DQ is your man.
