Dean Unglert Reveals He Found Love on Bachelor in Paradise (As Fans Ship Him and Kristina)
Dean Unglert didn’t find his happily-ever-after while appearing on Rachel Lindsay’s recent season of The Bachelorette, but he decided to give reality TV dating another try on Bachelor in Paradise. And it’s a good thing he did, because he apparently made a love connection.
The 26-year-old fan favorite caught the eyes of several ladies from the moment he stepped onto the beach. Kristina Schulman, in particular, seemed to have a spark with him and even chose Unglert for her very first date. (Schulman memorably competed for Nick Viall’s heart on season 21 of The Bachelor.)
We don’t know yet how the relationship between them plays out — there are also rumors about him and Danielle Lombard — but Unglert told Glamour that he did indeed fall for someone during his time on the show. “Did I find love in Paradise? Yeah, I’ll be honest with you. I did find love in Paradise,” he shared. “I don’t see any need to hide it.”
He’s certainly not hiding how much fun he had while he was there. Fans freaked out when Unglert posted a pic of himself and Schulman posing with beloved bartender Jorge, who sadly announced his exit last night.

Of course, it’s still early in the season, and a lot can (and probably will) happen for both Unglert and Schulman. Asked by Glamour if he’s still in love, his answer was definitely a little cheeky. “That’s the kicker,” he replied. “That’s the million-dollar question. I guess we’ll have to tune in to find out. That’s what the live reunion is for!”
Unglert also shared that the pause in production had an unusual impact on the cast. “We were filming for three days, we were in Mexico for 10 days, and then had a week-and-a-half hiatus where the entire original cast was able to text each other on a daily basis and see what life would be like with each other, or friendship-wise even outside of Paradise.”
He added, “It was definitely a unique perspective and I’m not sure if it changed things for the better or worse, but it definitely changed things pretty significantly. So it’s going to be weird because you’re going to see these people in Paradise that have known each other for three days, and then in the next episode we will have known each other for three weeks. You go from acquaintances to being friends over the course of one episode just because of that break.”
