There are people who know how to après-ski, and then there are people who really know how to après-ski. For those that fall into the latter camp — AKA those who won’t settle for a regular old hot toddy — there’s a little place that can make all your Champagne dreams and caviar wishes come true: the Après Lounge at the Montage Deer Valley in Park City, Utah.
Located at the base of the slopes of Deer Valley Resort, the Après Lounge is a super-luxurious yurt, and once you step inside, you’ll want to move right in. You can’t miss it — the bright yellow exterior matches the signature label of the lounge’s Champagne du jour, Veuve Clicquot. Mountain lifestyle brand Gorsuch designed the interior, a cozy space filled with wood accents, plush flannel chairs, and plenty of fur throws to keep you snug while you kick up your feet by the fireplace.
For an after (or before, or during) -ski break, guests can nosh on everything from caviar to local cheese and charcuterie, as well as sip a glass of sparkling rosé or a Veuve Clicquot cocktail. And for those treat yo’ self moments, bottles are also available.
If you prefer your yurts with some elevation, the nearby Viking Yurt sits at 8,700 feet at the top of Park City Mountain Resort. But high or low, there’s no wrong way to live that #yurtlife. And the best part: You don’t even need to ski to enjoy the après portion.
