Demi Lovato has always been a bit of a hair chameleon when it comes to color (check out all the killer hues she’s rocked in her day), but at the 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, the “Confident” singer was a whole new woman, rocking a fresh, sleek spring haircut that had us pining for a chop.
She styled her new shoulder-grazing locks with a soft wave and some fresh lowlights. And while her sudden hair change might have you thinking it’s a wig, nope. The “Body Stay” singer definitely took the plunge.
Lovato’s hairstylist, César DeLeön, gave us an idea of just how much he took off in a shot posted to the ‘Gram, writing, “the BIG chop.”
It’s a drastic and refreshing change from the 24-year-old’s last award show moment at the iHeart Radio Awards 2017, when she wore an all-silver outfit and wore her long hair super straight and down — definitely a heavier, darker look for winter.
Lovato seems to be feeling her lighter, fresher ‘do. She proudly showed off her new look over on Instagram, writing, “Selfie from yesterday.”
