This Gorgeous Un-Photoshopped Swimsuit Campaign Will Make You Say Yaaaaas
There is a body positive movement that is happening in the modeling world this year and it makes us ecstatic. First came Tess Holliday, the first plus-size model of her size to sign a major modeling contract. Then, SI broke new ground by featuring their FIRST. EVER. plus-size model. In an ad, but still groundbreaking. And yesterday, online swim retailer, swimsuitsforall, launched a bold new campaign called “Beach Body. Not Sorry.” featuring Puerto Rican and Kuwaiti model Denise Bidot in a sizzling hot, completely un-retouched video that has us going #effyourbeautystandards.
The video is gorgeous and has plenty of sultry, slow panning shots of the model lounging in blue waters (that makes us desperately wish we were swimming in the ocean right now btw). But it’s really the message that will make you hot. “I love everything about my body,” she tells us as she frolicks on the sand. “I’ve learned to just love every part of it — the cellulite, the stretch marks, everything that I thought at one point when I was younger was an imperfection I now realize that it’s everything that makes me me.”
“Be you and just rock this world,” Denise tells us at the end of the video and to that we say, rock on.
