How to Put Together a Dessert Bar for Your Dreamy Boho Bridal Shower
When you hit your 20s and 30s, you start going to *a lot* of weddings. No matter your role in these nuptials, you’re probably on the lookout for new and stunning ways to make your wedding events stand out.
Today, we teamed up with Talenti to show you how to put together a beautiful boho bridal shower dessert bar! If you’re a bride, a bridesmaid, an acquaintance of a bride, or just a sweet tooth, you’re going to love what’s coming.
I always like to start my party planning with a color palette in mind. Use soft pinks and off-whites for a romantic and dreamy boho bridal shower. Pairing soft tones with metallic gold will keep the party from looking overly neutral.
Now onto the sweets! You’ll definitely want to include pints of Talenti Gelato on your dessert bar. Talenti’s rich and elevated flavors are exactly what you need when throwing a classy soirée like this one. Today, we’re going with Black Raspberry Gelato, Banana Chocolate Swirl, Vanilla Bean Gelato, and Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Gelato. Mm mm!
Speaking of gelato, be sure to have cones and toppings on your bar for the full gelato experience. Dip cones in melted candy melts and sprinkles and let dry before plating them on a natural wood platter.
Isn’t this cake pretty? Bake your favorite cake recipe in two round pans and naked frost it with whipped cream. Top with cherries, flowers, and macarons. It may or may not upstage the cake at the actual wedding…
Dessert bars need a mix of big desserts and bite-sized treats. Pick up little tarts and cupcakes and elevate any store-bought cupcakes by decorating them with silk flower buds.
Bring the dessert bar to the next level by laying out faux cherry blossom branches along the bar’s edge. Fill in gaps with larger blooms. Done and done!
Create a whimsical backdrop with these simple DIY “dreamcatchers.” This is a DIY that takes minimal effort but has a big payoff. Tie ribbons and strips of fabric to embroidery hoops. Use a mix of large and small hoops and play with different fabric colors and textures. On a few of the hoops, hot glue 2-3 silk flowers on the sides of the hoops. Use fishing line to hang them from a tree branch or wall and you’re finished!
When the festivities end, guests can take a dreamcatcher home as a party favor. A DIY that’s easy AND multi-functional? Sign me up!
So fluttery and sparkly!
Boho goals achieved!
