Digital Illustration for Social Media is one online class. It’s a 61-minute course that will have you learning new skills in Adobe Photoshop and completing a fun class project — a whimsical illustration of ice cream cones using your own designs and hand lettering.

What types of things will I learn in this class?
You’ll start with the basic tools in Adobe Photoshop, advance to image tracing, and finally, sketch a design by freehand. The last part of the class will teach you how to upload your own hand lettering to add to your digital illustration. Throughout the course, Ashley will also talk about ways that you can think about your brand identity when creating digital illustrations.
What do I need to take the class?
Since it’s a digital illustration course, I’d highly recommend using a digital tablet of your choice (Ashley uses a Wacom Intuos tablet), a digital pen of your choice, and Adobe Photoshop. Please note that you can still draw in Adobe Photoshop without the use of a digital tablet and use your mouse instead. It’s just harder to get your drawings as precise as you’d like them.
