See Dumbo Fly in the First Teaser Trailer for Disney’s Live-Action Remake
Dumbo will soon make its way to the big screen as a live-action remake, and on Wednesday, the world got its first look at director Tim Burton’s take on the Disney animated classic, which combines all the best of both Burton’s and Disney’s imaginative magic into one.
Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) is a former star who, along with his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins), has been enlisted to take care of a newborn elephant, Dumbo, whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of a struggling circus show. But the family soon discovers that those ears enable little Dumbo to fly, a trait that makes the baby pachyderm attractive to V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who wants the elephant as an act in his massive new show, Dreamland.
Dumbo initially wows the crowds and becomes a star of his own alongside the stunning aerial artist Colette Marchant (Eva Green) — but it doesn’t take long for Holt to realize there are some dark and dangerous truths behind the massive show that could put Dumbo at risk.
Dumbo is only one of many Disney classics getting a live-action remake in the coming years. The Winnie the Pooh-based Christopher Robin is the next to be released, hitting theaters on August 3, while Aladdin and the all-star Lion King remakes are scheduled for release in 2019.
Dumbo will be in theaters in March 2019.
