Be Part of Their World With This DIY Ariel Costume
If you want to ditch the zombie/ghost/witch scenario and go with something classic this Halloween, we think the fire-haired, willing to sacrifice everything for love, Disney princess of the sea is the definite way to go. Aside from being a total babe, Ariel is also a goal-oriented romantic. Scroll on for a step-by-step guide on recreating this iconic look.
First, buy a navy Chicastic Corset ($30), HIKA Blue Midi Skirt ($24), and an EMAXDesign Red Wig ($40). You’ll also need a white peasant top to tuck under the corset. Glue navy sequin trim along the top and bottom edges of the corset. When it comes to princesses, the sparklier the better! Creative Content Producer Maddie brought her own black pumps to complete the outfit.
Makeup: Have a little fun on Ariel’s makeup with a teal blue cat eye paired with a soft pink crease and a few coats of mascara. Apply a bright pink blush to your cheeks, highlighter to your cheekbones, and red lipstick on your pucker.
Hair: Even though this is a wig, styling it will take it to the next level. In this case, pull up half of the wig hair and secure into a blue ribbon. Apply hairspray and a shine agent to the ends and then comb through the hair with a bristle brush to keep the end from looking stringy.
Oh no, my voice!
“I wanna be where the people are.”
